There are seasons in life where everything feels uncertain. You might feel lost, confused about your direction, or even question whether you're doing the right thing.
I’ve had seasons like that too.
There were moments in my life where I struggled with confidence, anxiety, and wondering what God was doing in my life. I felt like I was trying to figure everything out on my own. When things didn’t go the way I planned, I started feeling like I was failing.
But looking back now, those seasons weren’t wasted.
God was using them to draw me closer to Him.
Sometimes we grow the most in the moments when we feel the most lost. When we don’t have control, we begin to lean on God more. We start seeking Him for answers instead of relying on our own understanding.
One of the biggest things that helped me during that time was spending time in the Word of God. At first, I didn’t always know what to read or how to study the Bible. But I slowly started creating simple ways to stay consistent.
Recently, I started doing something that has helped me stay really present during my Bible study time. I began copying the Scripture I’m reading word for word into a blank notebook. It takes time, but it helps me slow down and actually absorb what I’m reading instead of rushing through it.
Writing Scripture has a way of helping the words sink deeper into your heart.
It allows you to notice things you might normally skim past.
That practice inspired me even more while creating the Bible study tools inside Guide & Grace. I wanted to create notebooks and resources that help women slow down, reflect, and truly connect with God’s Word.
If you’re in a season where you feel lost, know this:
God is still working in your story.
Your current season may feel confusing, but it could be the exact place where God is shaping your faith the most.
And sometimes the first step toward clarity is simply opening your Bible and spending time with Him.
